About the practice
The Palette is a remote color grading studio led by Khalif Sultan, working with directors, agencies, and production companies across film, commercial, and branded content.
The work is centred on professional look development: building a physical character from exposure, contrast, and color relationships rather than laying a look over the image at the end.
The global look is developed first and approved on a set of representative stills. Only then does shot-by-shot balancing begin. Creative direction is settled before the bulk of the work happens, so a finished pass is never discarded because the look was wrong.
The studio runs remote-first from Brighton, with calibrated monitoring, a color-managed pipeline, and a clear process from conform through to final delivery. Attended sessions are available by arrangement.
