The scope defines the grading and finishing work, alongside any handovers to other post-production departments.

Online & conform
Your locked edit is rebuilt from the source media and checked against the offline reference before grading begins. Missing media, timing differences and other conform issues are flagged before the creative work starts.
Timeline preparation, relinking and online work are included where agreed in the scope.

Deliverables & versioning
Final masters and additional versions are supplied to the agreed delivery specification. Export formats, resolution, aspect ratios and platform requirements are confirmed before work begins.
Subtitle burn-in, alternate crops and additional masters can be included in the project scope.

Custom LUT creation
Custom LUTs for on-set monitoring, dailies or a consistent brand look. Each is supplied with its intended camera or source conditions and viewing output documented, so it can be used as intended.

Attended sessions
Remote attended sessions bring the director, agency or production team into the creative discussion and review.
In-person attendance is available by arrangement. Session length, location, travel and fees are agreed in the estimate.
Scoping your project
Send the brief, current cut, deadline and required versions through the contact form. The Palette will review the creative and technical requirements, then provide a written estimate covering scope, grading days, deliverables, schedule, revision allowance and fees.
Pricing reflects runtime, source complexity, camera count, deliverables, turnaround and any conform or finishing work. Additional work is agreed before it begins.
Once scope, fee and dates are confirmed, you receive the booking form to complete the project details. The standard advance is 50% of the project fee before work starts. A lower advance may be negotiated, subject to a 20% minimum and written agreement. Final masters are released on delivery following sign-off, with the remaining balance invoice issued the same day and due 14 calendar days from the invoice date. Thirty-day terms apply only where agreed in writing before delivery.
