FAQ

  • Who we work with

Agencies, production companies, directors, editors, and artists worldwide. We specialise in color; we can also coordinate light finishing add‑ons (deliverables/QC, light cleanup, format versions) with trusted partners when needed.

  • What’s the process?

Discovery → SOW → First Pass → Reviews → Master Delivery.

Discovery – Share the brief, references, timelines, and specs.

SOW (Statement of Work) – We confirm scope, deliverables, schedule, and fee. A 50% deposit reserves the slot.

First Pass – Once deposit + assets arrive, we grade a complete first cut.

Reviews – Two consolidated rounds of notes via Frame.io.

Master Delivery – We deliver the agreed masters and social versions.

First‑Pass Promise: Projects receive a first graded cut within 48 business hours after deposit + assets (see Rates). Options include 24‑hour first pass or live supervised review.

  • How should we prep the project?

Use our Conform Prep Guide. We prefer source media + XML/AAF/DRT for maximum flexibility, but we can also work from a high‑quality ProRes/DNx master when required. Unsure? Ask—we’ll walk you through it.

  • What deliverables do you supply?

Standard masters are ProRes in Rec.709 at the project’s native resolution. Optional add‑ons include multi‑aspect social versions, HDR/Dolby Vision where applicable, and QC checklists. Exact deliverables are listed in your SOW.

  • Do you offer supervised sessions?

Yes—live remote review is available. Premium packages include up to 1 hour of live review; extra time is available by the hour.

  • How do revisions work?

Two consolidated rounds of notes are included. Please leave all feedback in Frame.io per round. Extra rounds are available as an add‑on. Technical fixes on our side are corrected at no charge within 7 days of delivery.

  • What’s your pricing structure?

    Essential, Priority, and Premium.

Each is designed for different needs: from indie projects that just need a strong polish, to agencies who need fast turnarounds, to directors who want premium supervised sessions.

The goal? Make world-class color grading as simple and seamless as possible.

I only take 3–4 projects per week, so booking is first come, first served.

  • Rush, weekends, and overtime

Rush turnarounds and out‑of‑hours requests are available and billed according to the SOW. If a rush is requested after booking, we’ll confirm feasibility and apply the published uplift.

  • Deposits and payment terms

A 50% deposit is required to book; the balance is due on delivery (finals are released on payment). We accept bank transfer, Wise, and PayPal; alternative currencies can be quoted on request.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling

If you postpone with sufficient notice, we’ll reschedule once subject to availability. Cancellations follow our standard kill‑fee policy. Full details are in Terms & Conditions.

  • File transfer, storage & security

We provide secure upload links. Working files are retained for 30 days after final delivery; retrieval after that is on a best‑effort basis and may incur a handling fee. We’re happy to sign NDAs and follow client security protocols.

  • Color management & screen variance

We grade on calibrated systems. Because uncalibrated screens compress and interpret color differently, absolute visual match across all devices isn’t guaranteed. We’ll advise on best‑practice deliveries for your use case.

  • Credits & portfolio use

Unless otherwise agreed, we may showcase frames/breakdowns for portfolio and social. Standard credit: “Color by Khalif Sultan (@khalifsultan_)”. If portfolio use is fully restricted, fees/scheduling may adjust.

  • International clients & time zones

We’re UK‑based and work globally. Meetings and reviews can be scheduled across all time zones, with calendar slots available for quick alignment.

  • What’s not included by default?

Sound mix, VFX, and editorial changes are outside the color scope unless specified in the SOW. We can recommend partners if needed.

  • How do we start?

Send your brief, runtime, links, and deadlines.

We’ll advise the best package and issue an SOW.

Pay the deposit and upload assets—your first pass lands per the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
