Enquiry → Discovery → Project Estimate → First Pass → Reviews → Master Delivery
Enquiry: Share basic project details: runtime, deadline, and budget range.
Discovery: A discovery call is mandatory for new clients or projects over 20 minutes. We discuss creative vision, technical specs, scope, deliverables, and timeline.
Project Estimate: You receive a detailed quote confirming grading days, deliverables, schedule, and fees. A 20% deposit reserves the grading slot.
First Pass: Once the deposit clears and all required assets are received, we deliver a complete first graded version.
Reviews: All feedback is submitted via Frame.io with timecode-specific, consolidated notes. Two revision rounds are included as standard.
Master Delivery: Final masters and deliverables listed in the Project Estimate are delivered once full payment is received.
-
Essential:
Locked picture (no editorial changes)
Source media or conform package (XML/EDL/AAF/DRT + media files)
Reference export for Frame.io review (H.264 recommended)
Optional but helpful:
Reference stills or grade notes
Subtitles and graphics as separate files
Audio stems
Use our Grade Prep Guide if you are unsure. We can advise before you export.
-
Your edit is final — no timing changes, shot reordering, or duration adjustments. Once grading begins, any editorial changes require a reconform fee (starting at £250 plus hourly rate for affected shots).
Locked edit protects both your timeline and budget. Colour grading is shot-specific work, and any structural change means regrading affected shots.
-
Standard deliverable:
ProRes 4444 at source resolution
Colour space: Rec.709 Gamma 2.4
Platform-specific exports (web, broadcast, cinema) are available and quoted separately if required. Include any versioning, aspect ratios, or platform requirements in the brief so they can be scoped properly.
-
Unless otherwise stated in the Project Estimate:
One First Pass is included
Two revision rounds based on consolidated notes are included
All feedback must be submitted via Frame.io. No email, WhatsApp, or verbal notes. This keeps everything organised, timestamped, and trackable.
Additional revision rounds are billed separately. New edits, new shots, or significant creative direction changes after approval are scope changes and may require additional grading days.
-
