Strada GUIDE

This guide outlines the exact steps required to use Strada when granting The Palette access to local media drives.

Follow these instructions precisely. Incorrect setup may result in access issues or transfer delays.

Only The Palette has permission to initiate file transfers under the paid Strada plan. Collaborators provide access only.

Purpose

Strada provides secure remote access to existing local media drives without uploading files to cloud storage.

Key points:

  • Media remains on the original machine

  • Files are not duplicated by default

  • Access is live and permission based

Use Strada when:

  • Media volumes are too large for cloud delivery

  • Deadlines do not allow full uploads

  • Selective access to source media is required

Before you begin

Ensure the following before starting setup:

  • A stable internet connection

  • The computer hosting the media can remain powered on

  • Sleep and auto shutdown are disabled

  • You have administrator access to the machine

Do not proceed until these conditions are met.

Account Setup

1. Create a Strada account

  1. Visit https://strada.tech

  2. Create an account using your email address

  3. Verify your email and sign in

If you already have an account, sign in and proceed to the next step.

2. Install the Strada Agent

  1. Download the Strada Agent from the Strada website

  2. Install the application on the machine that contains the media

  3. Launch the Agent and sign in

The Agent must remain running for access to work.

3. Select media drives

  1. Open the Strada Agent

  2. Select the drive(s) that host the project media folder(s)

  3. Confirm access permissions

Do not grant access to unnecessary drives.

4. Invite The Palette

  1. Log in to the Strada web app at https://strada.tech/app

  2. Send an invite to The Palette using hello@khalifsultan.com

  3. Assign ADMIN permissions for full access

Do not initiate transfers. Only access permissions are required.

5. Keep the system online

While Strada is in use:

  • The host computer must remain powered on

  • The Strada Agent must stay open

  • The system must not enter sleep mode

  • Internet connection must remain stable

Interruptions will pause access or transfers.

File transfer responsibility

  • Only The Palette can initiate transfers

  • Collaborators do not need to upload or move files

  • Transfer progress and issues are handled by The Palette

If access is interrupted, The Palette will notify you.

Common issues to avoid

  • Closing the Strada Agent

  • Allowing the system to sleep

  • Changing drive names or mount points

  • Disconnecting external drives

  • Revoking access mid transfer

These will cause delays.

Security and access

  • Access is permission based and can be revoked at any time

  • No files are copied unless explicitly transferred

  • Access is limited to approved drives only

When Strada is no longer needed

Once grading is complete:

  1. Notify The Palette

  2. Revoke access via the Strada dashboard

  3. You may uninstall the Strada Agent if no longer required
