Strada

This guide walks you through everything you need to get started with Strada, the file sharing and remote access tool we use to collaborate on your project. Follow the steps in order and reach out if you hit any snags.

Step 1: Create Your Free Account

  1. Go to strada.tech and click Sign Up for Free in the top right.

  2. Log in with Google in one click, or enter your email and follow the security prompts.

  3. Check your inbox to confirm your account.

  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions.

  5. You'll land on a welcome page with a download link.

  6. Strada has a new V2 app. Please download it from this link: https://download.strada.tech/elkhart/2026.6.15-2/Strada.dmg. ⚠️ The current Strada V2 app is currently Mac Silicon ONLY!

Step 2: Download and Install Strada

  1. Download the installer for your system:

    • Mac: Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) only

    • Windows: Windows 11 with Nvidia or AMD GPU

  2. Unzip the package and drag the Strada agent into your Applications folder.

  3. Open your Applications folder and double-click Strada to launch it.

  4. Enter the login code Strada sends to confirm your credentials.

  5. Click Get Started.

On first launch, grant Strada access to:

  • Your Desktop and Downloads folders (these are not shared with anyone — Strada just needs local access)

  • Any external drives you want to use for collaboration

Step 3: Navigate the App

Strada works like a Mac Finder or Windows File Explorer. The left panel contains:

  • Home Folders — your local machine

  • My Computers — all computers you've installed Strada on

  • Shared With Me — any drives or folders that have been shared with you by collaborators (this is where you'll find content from me)

You can view files in column, thumbnail, or list view. Clicking any video, audio, or image file loads it into the Strada Player for instant playback directly from the source drive — no downloading required.

Step 4: Sharing a Folder With Me

To give me access to your footage or project files, you invite me directly to the folder in Strada:

  1. Navigate to the folder you want to share (go to the specific folder, not the root drive).

  2. Right-click the folder and select Invite to Folder.

  3. Type in my email address: hello@khalifsultan.com

  4. Set my permission level to Edit.

  5. Click send.

I'll receive an email notification and the folder will appear in my Strada immediately.

Why Edit permission? I'm on a paid Strada plan, which means I handle all file transfers — both pulling your footage to my machine and pushing grades or deliverables back to you. Edit access is what allows me to do both. You don't need to initiate any transfers yourself.

What you keep control of: You only share the specific folder you invite me into. Nothing else on your drive is visible or accessible to me.

Step 5: Mobile Access

  • iOS/iPadOS: Search Strada Media on the App Store.

  • Android: Search Strada on the Google Play Store.

Log in with your same Strada credentials. You'll see all the same shared folders you have access to on desktop.
